Violation of Human Rights Laws by Norway

A few days ago, a 19 year old asylum seeker was arrested and directly delivered to IR's secret police. The young man is now in Evin prison without trail, right to legal aid or even formal charges.

The government of Norway claimed that Rahim will not be harmed in any way by IR.

I URGE  all human rights activist to call the embassy of Norway and ask them these simple questions. Please send me the response you get.

1- Does Norway agree with UN, EU and US about IR's systematic abuse of prisoners of conscience? Or does Norway hold a different opinion about IR?
2- If Norway does agree with the above statement, then what is their reason for sending this young man back to Iran?
3- If Norway does not stand with UN, EU and US on the subject of human rights violation by IR and its practice of torture and abuse of prisoners of conscience, then what is the position of government of Norway about human rights in Iran?
4- Does the government of Norway consider Iranian and in particular Iranian asylum seekers to be deserving of human rights or does she reserve such privileges for Europeans only?

I did make the call and this is the answer I got.

Dear Ms. Shahin,

We spoke on the phone yesterday,  regarding the case of Rahim Rostami.

I have conferred with our consul, and he has let me know that the Consulate has no comment on the matter as this is a case handled by the immigration authorities. I recommend that  you contact the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration directly via http://www.udi.no/Norwegian-Directorate-of-Immigration/

Best regards,

  1. Is it an answering machine? Do you talk to a person? Or do we e-mail them??

  2. Ignore the sidestepping - and keep pressing local embassies. The Norwegian immigration authorities are adept at ignoring international communications - but the diplomatic corps will feel obliged to answer and will report back to a different minister :-)
